5 Makeup Must Haves For 2024.

1. Dior Rosy Glow Blush

Dior Rosy Glow Blush has been on the market for quite some time but recently rose to fame after it became viral on Instagram and TikTok. At first glance the shade looks quite intimidating and vibrant, but it is a universally flattering cool toned pink blush that is suitable for every skin tone. The Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush is in the form of a pressed powder. It can look and feel dry when in the pan but blends like a dream on top of a liquid or powder foundation. It doesn’t become patchy or dry and melts into the skin naturally to give it a healthy flush of color and glow. The Dior Backstage Rosy Pink Blush has world-class technology where it reacts with your pH and makes a customized pink color for your natural blush. It’s easily become my go-to blush this season and although it’s on the pricier side, it’s definitely worth the hype and money.

Pro Tip: Gently dab the blush in the center of the lips on top of liquid lipstick for doll like effect.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills soft glam eyeshadow palette

From beautiful natural shades to deep, romantic hues, this palette includes enough options to take your look from day to night. The color scheme on this palette is simply gorgeous and deserves a front-row spot on your vanity.  It has 14 eyeshadows including 9 ultra-matte and 5 metallic finishes which are very wearable to take you from a neutral to a super glam look within minutes. Like all other Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes, the packaging is lightweight, soft to touch and has a large mirror inside. In addition to this, the palette also comes with a dual-ended brush. The shimmers/metallics are beautiful and their payoff is great.

Pro Tip: Apply the shimmer shades with fingers instead of a brush for maximum intensity.

3. Rare beauty soft pinch liquid blush

When it comes to adding color to your cheeks, a liquid blush can provide lots of natural color without looking like makeup. The Soft Pinch Liquid Blush truly stands on its own as a superior product. I’ve used liquid blushes before, but this one surpasses other products in pigmentation, bendability, and staying power.

This is a liquid blush, but it also has a creamy texture, making it ideal for a wide range of skin types. There are two finishes, matte and dewy. For those with oily skin that don’t want to add any more shine, choosing a matte shade is a good idea. Choosing a dewy shade can add some glow to otherwise dry skin. When considering the size of the product, the amount used for each application, and the quality, I find this blush to be 100% worth the cost. At first glance, the price may seem steep for the small, quarter-ounce bottle. But the blush is highly pigmented, and only a small amount of product is used each time, bringing the cost-per-use way down.

Pro Tip: It’s important to prep skin well before applying the product, since it can emphasize dry spots and flakes if skin isn’t hydrated enough, and it can be more difficult to blend on dry skin.

4. Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

Nars natural radiant longwear foundation is a uniquely lightweight foundation that comes in 33 impressive selections of shades for a spectrum of skin tone and undertone combinations that provides high coverage but also a super natural and breathable finish. This is a great foundation for someone who prefers medium to full coverage, and it is mature skin friendly. If you have particularly oily skin, you may find it goes a little dewy (though I don’t feel it is greasy), however I personally love how radiant and healthy this looks on the skin, especially after it has been on the skin for a few hours!  It wears longer, stays stronger, and looks better with each hour. The foundation itself has a thick, creamy consistency that makes this foundation an excellent full-coverage product while also being great for sensitive skin.

Pro Tip: Always moisturize the face before applying foundation for a flawless finish and dab the face with loose powder to set the foundation in place.

5. Rare Beauty positive light silky touch highlighter

The Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter has a pearlescent glow with finely milled shimmers glistening through it for that glass like glow on the skin. Even though it’s a powder formulation, the highlighter has a lovely, creamy texture to it and lasts for several hours throughout the day without any need for touch-ups. The highlighter sweeps on as a light-as-air powder before quickly melting onto skin. When using a brush, the finish is an intense mirror-like glow while with a damp sponge, the radiance is diffused. It blends out easily and can be sheered out or amped up for more of a blinding look. It glides on like butter and does not accentuate pores or skin texture. This product is highly pigmented, so I would advise you to layer it gradually until you achieve your desired level of glow.

Pro Tip: This highlighter works well as an eyeshadow topper, or you can also use it in the inner corners of the eyes to add more oomph to your eye makeup.
